International Yoga Day to be celebrated on the 21 June

Yoga is the 5000 years old ancient practice of the union of the consciousness or soul of the individual being with the universal consciousness or soul. Yoga is the combination of mental and physical exercises along with breathing exercises. It includes meditation and physical exercises such as stretching, twisting of human bodies.

Yoga is not only the exercise, but it frees the mind from negative thoughts and beliefs. It also leads to people to know the ultimate truth behind the existence of the life.

One of the most important feature of Yoga is that it is for everyone. It does not matter that whether the person is young, old, fit or weak. Though there are different exercises for different people.
The only difference is that young can easily perform all Yogic exercises, but for adult people it takes time to practice as their body does not remain as flexible with respect to their younger counterparts.
Yoga sets the system of physical as well as mental discipline. This discipline helps to retain the youthfulness in the people as well as help them to attain the highest state of consciousness. It helps the people to be more focused and improve their concentration.
