Code of Conduct for Interview to grab your Dream Job

Every Jobseeker has intention to stand out in the interview and able to grab your dream job. Here are some important points to prepare you well for an interview:

Initial stage is preparation for the interview

• Read the Jobseeker’s requirements very carefully. Update your CV accordingly.
• Grab the information of the company from their official website. Contact the HR department and try to get to know the details about the role & responsibilities they desire from the perspective candidate.
• Check out the latest interview questions in the relevant field.
• Take proper rest before the interview to look fresh.
• Note address properly and contact the administrative department for the exact time & location of the interview venue if it is not stated clearly.


Next stage is presentation at the time of interview

• Be punctual and reach the interview venue well before the stated time.
• Dress code must be formal.
• Must have all required certificates and documents.
• Put your mobile on vibrator or silent mode.
• Enter the interview room gracefully and greet the interviewer with your beautiful smile. Sit straight and maintain an eye contact with the interviewer.
• Be comfortable and confident in the interview. Listen to the interviewer very carefully and answer in a short and crisp answers rather than big and boring answers. Understand that interviewer has little time and you have to show your potential in that time duration only.
• You must highlight what have achieved in the past, and want to seek in the future. You must also tell that why you want to join a particular organization.
• Many candidates have the habit of exaggerating their skills & experience statements. These false statements which can bring you in trouble for your future endeavors so avoid it.
• It may happen that you have answered any question wrongly and you make the impression that you spoilt your interview. This should not happen you must concentrate on the next question; it might happen that you answer it so beautifully that it really impress the interviewer and he/she happily calls you for the next interview round.
• Avoid nail biting or chewing the gum in an interview.
• End the interview with affirmative note that you look forward to being a part of the particular organization.

Final stage is HR round/negotiation round  

• Never quote an unrealistic figure as your salary expectation.
• Be polite.
• When HR asks for your salary expectations, quote salary higher than what you expect.
• Never show your desperation to anyone and show that you require the job at any cost.
• If you find the salary finally offered by the organization is not meeting your expectations, it is beneficial to leave on a positive note rather than arguing... Raed More
